She is most famous for her portrayal of Willie Scott, an American nightclub singer and performer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), produced by her future husband Steven Spielberg. She has starred in Dreamscape (1984), Power(1986), SpaceCamp(1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (94), Just Cause (1995) and The Love Letter (1999). Capshaw's portraiture work was shown at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was the child of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), who is a beauty consultant and travel agent, and Edwin Leon Nail (an airline employee of the airline). At the age of five, she was years old when she moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw earned a degree from the University of Missouri in education. She was also a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She was the special education instructor at Southern Boone High School Ashland, Missouri and Rock Bridge High School Columbia, Missouri.
