Anita Sarkeesian (Canadian-American) is an activist in the field of feminist media also a speaker who is Canadian. Feminist Frequency is a web site with video and blogs looking at the portrayal of women by the media and in popular media and popular. Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian-American media critic and blog writer who has been awarded awards in her field, is a feminist blogger. She is the author and the director executive of Feminist Frequency an educational non-profit website which explores the portrayals of women in pop media narratives. The challenge of destroying stereotypes regarding women is the main goals of her organization. But, she also wants to highlight concerns like the issue of harassment and targeted attacks on women on the internet. Holding a master's degree in politics and sociology at York University Sarkeesian is also popular as a public talker. She has also delivered speeches at TEDxWomen XOXO Festival and also the United Nations' Broadband Working Group on Gender. Attracted to issues related to gender identities and feminisms from her early years, she founded her site Feminist Frequency in 2009 while being a student at the University. She was launching a series of videos on the web that looked at gender roles in video games and was the target of online harassment. But the harassment did not deter her. This only helped her in her role as a journalist who is feminist. Her significant contributions in the feminist field were recognized by a variety of awards.
