Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Her mother is English and one-half Spanish. Her parents were Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father is an Argentine who is of Scottish and English descent. Her mother is Spanish as well as English descent. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four siblings, one at each one of their parents' prior marriages. Buenos Aires was her home until she turned six, when the family moved to Victoria in London. Taylor-Joy says that moving into London was difficult and that she didn't study English to avoid moving back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she moved from Northlands.
